After the blockbuster Master, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and superstar Thalapathy Vijay are joining hands again for Leo which has caught everyone’s attention right from its announcement.

Besides this, there are two more reasons behind all the hype around it. Leo marks Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha’s reunion on screen after 14 years. Sanjay Dutt is making his debut in Tamil cinema with this big-budget film. Reportedly, he has been roped in to play Vijay’s nemesis in the movie.

While the plot and the details about the characters have been kept under wraps by the makers, Lokesh Kanagaraj, at a recent event, slipped out some tiny information about this Vijay starrer.

The Vikram director revealed that his upcoming film will be a ‘full-blown action entertainer. He continued, “We have completed 60 days of shoot, and there is another 60-day schedule pending.”

On being asked to speak about the ‘Bloody Sweet’ term which was used by the Leo team in the title announcement video, Kanagaraj shared, “Just like the ‘Aarambiklaangla’ dialogue (Ika Modhalu Pedadhama in Telugu) in Vikram, ‘Bloody Sweet’ dialogue would also come during a crucial juncture in Leo that should be enjoyed in theatres.”

The Leo team wrapped up the Kashmir shooting schedule last month despite the harsh weather conditions there. As a gesture of appreciation, the makers later released a behind-the-scenes video to acknowledge the crew members’ hard work and dedication.

With a stellar cast including names like Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon, Leo is slated to release in theatres on October 19, 2023.
