The title announcement video of Suriya’s upcoming film, Kanguva which was dropped online recently, has already created a lot of buzz around this Siva directorial.

Superstar Suriya’s upcoming film, Kanguva helmed by Siva is one of the most anticipated films in Tamil. Ever since fans came to know about this collaboration, they have been waiting with bated breath for every single update on this film.

Last month, the makers had dropped a title announcement video for the film which added more to their curiosity levels. Although it didn’t feature Suriya, the sneak-peek gave a little hint about his character which was described as “A Man with power of fire and the Saga of a Mighty Valiant Hero.’

Recently, in an interview with Galatta Plus, the film’s producer-distributor Dr Dhananjay Govind opened up on the choice of ‘Kanguva’ as the title for their film.

He revealed that it was Suriya and director Siva who finalized this title for their movie. He was quoted as saying, “The decision was made by Suriya sir and Siva sir. What they decided was, the film should have a universal title. The title should hold a value in all the languages the film will be releasing in. It should be a title that can be understood. Once they decided it, Gnanavel Raja sir also liked it and they went ahead.”

He also opened up on the film’s scale and scope and added, “There are many big aspects. Be it the warfare or the making, and the depiction of the past, the team has captured it all superbly.”

Kanguva marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actress Disha Patani.  Slated to hit the big screens in 2024, the Suriya starrer will be releasing in 3D in 10 different languages.
