Jackie Shroff expressed his awe at watching Hrithik Roshan go from babysitting Tiger Shroff to sharing screen space with him in Siddharth Anand’s blockbuster film, War.

Rakesh Roshan’s 1993 film, King Uncle has gained a cult status over the years and continues to remain a huge hit with the kids. Starring Jackie Shroff, Shah Rukh Khan, Nagma and Anu Aggarwal, the film was loosely inspired by the 1982 Hollywood film, Anne.

King Uncle revolves around a runaway orphan who ends up in the house of a strict industrialist and ends up altering his perception of the world by thawing his icy demeanor. Since this film was helmed by Rakesh Roshan, his son Hrithik Roshan would often assist him on the film’s sets.

Recently, in a chat with Lehren TV, Jackie Shroff recalled how Hrithik used to look after his son Tiger who was baby then on the sets of the film when he would go for his shot.

The Ram Lakhan actor recalled, “He was taking care of Tiger, as an assistant director. When they used to call me for the shot, my boy used to cry, he was small. So, I used to tell Hrithik, “Go and play with him.” He used to do all his tricks. Even Salman, I have seen him as AD. Salman’s first film, I was the one who got his picture (to the producers)..,All these boys have grown up.”

Jackie further continued, “Him (Hrithik) working with the little boy he was looking after. And he’s his fan also. He was his fan, of someone who had taken take of him.” Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff shared screen space for the first time in Siddharth Anand’s espionage thriller, War. The film was a huge blockbuster at the box office.

Tiger Shroff made her acting debut with Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti in 2014. His actor-father Jackie said in his interview, that (Tiger) he never told him anything about the film or the character, and directly invited him to watch the film adding that he was tear-eyed to watch his son on screen for the first time.
