Dulquer Salmaan expressed his desire to work with Vijay Deverakonda in a recent interaction. On the other hand, the latter recalled how he would watch the Sita Ramam actor’s films on torrents.

Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda’s bromance was at peak when the duo gathered under one roof to promote their respective films, King Of Kotha and Kushi. While King Of Kotha features Dulquer in a never-seen-before avatar of a gangster, Vijay’s Kushi is a romantic drama in which he is paired opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the first time.

In a video posted on Sony Music South’s YouTube channel, Vijay said that if he ever does a multi-starrer, he would love to work with Dulquer Salmaan. In response, the OK Kanmani star quipped that if the two of them ever do a film together, there won’t be any competition between them.

Dulquer said, “I think we will have fun doing it. It won’t be us as stars fighting for screen space. We will just be having fun.”

Further, Vijay recalled watching Dulquer’s films on torrents and said, “I have been watching his films even before as an actor. I used to watch it on laptops on torrents. It was Malayalam cinema, you need to get it with subtitles and stuff.”

During the course of the conversation, Vijay pointed out how their current trajectories are interestingly going in reverse directions. For the unversed, Dulquer’s last release Sita Ramam was a period love story while Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in the action flick Liger.

Referring to Liger‘s poor performance at the box office, Vijay cracked a joke and said, “I hope your action film does better than mine.” To which, Dulquer said, ““I hope your love story blows up like mine,” referring to Sita Ramam‘s success.

Dulquer said that people like to watch him in romantic roles. However, the actor emphasized on how he doesn’t want to put himself in a box and shared, “As soon as people think I’m comfortable in something, I want to quickly get out of there. I think that’s the only way to keep it interesting for us, and for them.” However,  he also added that he cannot be like his gangster character from King Of Kotha in real life as he has a tough time emoting anger loudly even on screen.

Dulquer also revealed that one of his upcoming films is also set against the backdrop of the gangster world, just like King Of Kotha.
