Chhavi Mittal, in a new interview, shared why she has no plans of returning to the television world as an actor.
Chhavi Mittal, best known for playing the lead in Tumhari Disha, recently revealed that she has no plans of returning back to TV as an actor. The actress is currently a producer and a content creator online.
In a chat with ETimes, Chhavi said, “I left television eight years ago and have no plans of getting back. I decided to quit TV to move forward in life, so I am not going to go back in doing that. I am so much more than an actor now. I am a producer and may return to TV in that capacity but not as an actor.”
Elaborating on what she enjoys the most about her new role, Chhavi said that as a producer, she can take her own decisions.
“I decide when and what I want to do, which is why I don’t want to go back to acting on TV, given the schedules. Of course, in the digital space, I still act when required,” the actress was quoted as saying. She further told the publication that if she gets a good role in an OTT project, she will take it up.
Besides Tumhari Disha, Chhavi has acted in TV soaps like 3 Bahuraaniya, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Bandini, Naaginn, Ek Chhutki Asmaan and Viraasat. Her last small screen outing was Krishnadasi in 2016. Last year, the actress hit headlines when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Chhavi emerged victorious against the disease and is now slowly getting back to her routine.
