Anushka Sharma, at a recent event in Bengaluru, shared that she has decided that she won’t do more than one film a year.

It’s been a while since Anushka Sharma has been seen on screen except for her small cameo in Tripti Dimri starrer Qala. While fans have been eagerly waiting to watch more of the Sultan actress on screen, she has some different plans in store.

Recently, while speaking at an event for Puma in Bengaluru, Anushka said that her priorities have changed post motherhood and that she isn’t keen on doing more films despite enjoying the process of acting.

The Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress shared, “I know my daughter is at this age that she needs a lot more of my time. Virat is a great father. He is very involved as a parent. But she is at that age, we have also seen that, she just
needs me more. We recognize that. So, I have taken those steps.”
Anushka whose last big screen outing was Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Zero, revealed that from now on, she will be doing only for one film a year. Elaborating on the same, she continued, “I enjoy acting but I don’t want to do too many films as much as I was doing earlier. I want to do one film a year, enjoy the process of acting which is what I like and balance my life out like the way I am, give time to family,” she said adding that even her cricketer-hubby Virat takes out time for the family.
The actress said that she is satisfied with the kind of life she is leading and that she doesn’t want to prove a point to anybody whether as an actor, as a public figure, as a mother, as a wife.
“I just want to do things that make me happy and make sense to me. I do things which feel right to me. I don’t look for validation outside of myself anymore,” Anushka said at the event.
The Bollywood star further added, “Motherhood has given me that because you have to trust yourself so much as a parent, as a mother, because you are taking decisions for someone who is so small and incapable in a lot of ways. So, you end up becoming very gutsy and you start trusting yourself a lot more. I think I am braver than I was before. I take decisions which I wouldn’t have earlier. I feel more fearless now.”
On the film front, Anushka Sharma will next be seen in the Netflix film, Chakda Xpress which is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
