Yash narrated his thought process behind the title ‘Toxic’ for his upcoming film which is helmed by Geetu Mohandas.

Geetu Mohandas, best known for her socio-political film Liar’s Dice, is teaming up with KGF star Yash for the first time for her upcoming gangster action drama Toxic.

Ever since the first sneak-peek of the film dropped online, fans are quite curious about Yash’s new avatar in this film. But do you know that it was the Rocking Star himself who came up with the intriguing title and tagline for this film?

Yash made this revelation in his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Explaining how the idea for the title and tagline struck him, the ‘Ramachari’ actor said, “We have fairy tales for kids but nobody is making fairy tales for grown-ups. So we thought we will make a fairy tale for grown-ups. I came up with the tagline. Title and tagline both I felt it was a very relevant thing.”

He continued, “Today, we go through a lot of confusions and the word ‘toxic’ has got many layers. It is used in so many contexts. All of us are living in a very toxic situation in so many ways. So I thought it was a very relevant title and apt for the film.”

While speaking about his collaboration with Geetu Mohandas, Yash said that while her films might be different, he thinks that she knows the ‘mass pulse’ and entertainment as well.

“I always try to entertain the audience. A lot of people ask me this question but I think she is coming up with something really massy and a mega entertaining film,” the actor shared in his interview.

Further, explaining why he gave his nod for this film, Yash said, “It’s pretty simple for me. I just look at the passion behind a project and the kind of story it is. Geetu came in with the right vision and passion, which I truly admired. She invested her time in what she wanted to achieve, and that’s what matters to me. It’s about two worlds coming together, and I felt it was high time for such a collaboration.”

While the makers of the film have kept the rest of the cast under wraps, reports suggest that Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Shruti Haasan are also a part of this film.
