Raghav Juyal said that both he and Aryan Khan expected his scene with Emraan Hashmi to click with the audience.
The internet can’t get enough of Raghav Juyal’s now-iconic scene from Aryan Khan’s debut OTT series The Ba***ds of Bollywood. In a moment that’s equally heartfelt and hilarious, Raghav, playing Parvez, a die-hard Emraan Hashmi fan, spontaneously belts out ‘Kaho Na Kaho’ the moment Hashmi arrives on set, as an intimacy coach, to train Aasman (Lakshya) and Karishma (Sahher Bambba) for their film in Goa.
In an interaction with News18 Showsha, Raghav reacted to this scene going viral on social media, and said that he and Aryan anticipated this response from the audience. He revealed that he actually started crying in scene when Emraan Hashmi entered into the frame.
The Kill actor said, “I got a really good response. Aryan and I both expected it would turn out this way. I really worked hard on myself and created something new. I enjoyed it a lot. When Emraan sir came and that scene happened, I actually started crying in the scene! And while doing it, the scene just shaped up like that — I did it straight from the heart.”
Elaborating on his approach for this viral scene, Raghav shared, “If I had tried to do comedy, it would have felt awkward, but I genuinely shed tears and sang that song. I specifically sang the Arabic version because I thought it would come across as funny.”
Further, the Yudhra actor reflected on his bond with Aryan Khan.
Raghav shared that both he and Aryan had mischievous minds, and whenever their energies aligned, something entirely unexpected would unfold on screen. He spoke of their strong camaraderie, noting that whenever they met on set, it was clear to everyone around that something was about to happen. He described his dynamic with Aryan as ‘lethal’.
Set in the heart of Bollywood’s glittering facade, The Ba***ds of Bollywood centers on Aasman Singh (Lakshya), an industry outsider whose rise to stardom collides with love, betrayal, and a buried truth that threatens to rewrite his destiny. The series also features Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, Karan Johar, Rajat Bedi, Manoj Pahwa, amongst others.
