Mrunal Thakur admitted that she found it tricky to balance audience’s love and expectations after the success of her Telugu debut Sita Raman.

Post starring in Hindi movies like Batla House, Super 30, Toofaan and Jersey, Mrunal Thakur marked her entry in Telugu cinema with Hanu Raghavapudi’s period romance Sita Ramam alongside Dulquer Salman. The actress received a lot of love and appreciation for her performance in that film.

Recently, in a chat with Indian Today, Mrunal said that the impact of Sita Ramam was so strong that she took almost a year to give her nod to her next Telugu project (Nani starrer Hi Nanna) as she found it tricky to hold on to the audience’s love and deal with their expectations.

The actress told the publication, “Yes it is tricky. There was a time when for a long time I didn’t sign any Telugu film. It was important for me to believe in a character and a story.”

Mrunal shared that she signed her next Telugu movie, Nani starrer Hi Nanna only after almost a year because she resonated with the film and believed in it. The actress was quoted as saying, “I want to spend those 100 days excited for something, otherwise what’s the point?”

Mrunal said that after working for almost a decade in the industry, she has realised that she wants to enjoy her journey.

“Of course, there is pressure, but my audience is lovely, and they always also give me a reality check. I read their comments, take their feedback in a positive way and make sure that I don’t do the same mistakes I did earlier. I genuinely want to be better,” the ‘Gumraah’ actress shared with the tabloid.

On the Bollywood front, Mrunal will next be seen in Umesh Shukla’s upcoming family entertainer Aankh Micholi co-starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi and Divya Dutta.
