Madhuri Dixit recalled her reaction when Anees Bazmee narrated her the climax of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Madhuri Dixit’s latest release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, co-starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri, has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters at the box office this year. Helmed by Anees Bazmee, the horror comedy has clicked with the audience.

Post release, one of the talking points of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been the film’s startling climax that not many could guess while watching the movie. The major revelation along with Sonu Nigam’s rendition of ‘Mere Dholna 3.0’ ended the film on a high note.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Madhuri Dixit opened up on how the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 kept the film’s ending a closely-guarded secret, and added that among the actors, only she, Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan knew about it. She revealed that she was surprised when she heard the climax during script narration.

The actress recalled, “He (Anees Bazmee) had narrated to me the climax as well, and it was surprising even to me when I heard the script. I thought it was beautiful as well.”

Madhuri shared, “There were very few like me, Vidya (Balan) and Kartik (Aaryan) who knew what the ending is going to be. But none of the other actors were told. So they always used to come up with theories during the shoot. Somebody used to say, ‘Mujhe toh lagta hai Tabuji wapas aane waali hai.” They used to give us different things about who’s the actual one (Manjulika). But we always kept mum, and said, ‘Okay, okay, even we don’t know.”

On being asked how she managed to keep the climax a secret, the ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ actress said, “It’s for the betterment of the film, right? You cannot have anything spilled out. It’s such a lovely surprise in the end that shouldn’t be given away.”

Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continues to hold strong at the box office in its third weekend despite new theatrical releases. The horror comedy has already crossed the 200 crore mark, and is now Kartik Aaryan’s highest grossing film.
