Known for popular TV soaps like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kayamath and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil to name a few, Jay Bhanushali is a popular face in the television space. After staying away from daily soaps for 11 years, he is now all set to make a comeback in the fiction genre with Sony TV’s upcoming show, Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum.

In a recent chat with ETimes, Jay revealed that he was offered many shows in the past, but nothing excited him. However, when he was approached for Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum, he didn’t want it to slip from his hands as it was the kind of project that he wanted to return with in the fiction space. The actor also shared that he is excited to explore his romantic side on screen

When quizzed if he feels pressure of ratings after returning to the fiction world after a long gap, Jay replied, “If you had asked me this six years ago, I would have told you that I do get affected. But that’s not the case anymore. Also, fortunately, ratings have been kind to me so far because all my shows have struck a chord with the audience.”

He further added, “Having said that, I have detached myself from the pressure of ratings. The focus is on creating good content and enjoying myself on the set. Over the years, I have realised that you make mistakes and bad decisions if you panic about numbers. I come from a place of security and not fear.”

Jay also shared his take on the ongoing trend of shows shutting down prematurely within a few months. The actor told the tabloid, “Entertainment comes with a price. Everyone knows that the industry is unpredictable, but you can’t stop working because of that fear.”

Jay Bhanushali essays the role of a prince named Shivendra in Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum, and is paired opposite Tina Dutta whose last outing was Bigg Boss 16.
