While Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji bagged the ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Actress’ award respectively, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal was named the ‘Best Film’ at the recently held IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi.
It was a star-studded night as some of the biggest names from the Hindi film industry gathered under a roof to felicitate the finest talents- established as well as upcoming ones. We are talking about the much-anticipated IIFA Awards 2024 which was held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai.
When it’s Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan hosting an event, you know it’s going to be a memorable one for months and years to come! Giving him company this year were Karan Johar and Siddhant Chaturvedi. From King Khan and Vicky Kaushal shaking a leg to ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ to Karan Ahuja spreading some infectious energy with his singing, the audience were in for a treat. Not to forget, some electrifying performances by Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and ‘Umrao Jaan’ Rekha!
Speaking about the felicitation bit, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal clinched the maximum number of awards (6) including the Best Film. Shah Rukh Khan won the ‘Best Actor-Male’ Award for Jawan, while Rani Mukerji bagged the ‘Best Actor-Female’ Award for Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
