Bhavika Sharma, in a recent interview, opened up on how she bagged the role of Savi in Star Plus’ show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

Bhavika Sharma is currently winning hearts with her portrayal of the feisty Savi in Star Plus’ popular TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Early this year, the makers took a time leap post Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh’s exit to introduce Bhavika Sharma, Shakti Arora and Sumit Singh as the new leads of the family drama.
Recently, in a chat with ETimes, Bhavika got candid about how she bagged Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The actress shared that she had auditioned for another show and was almost going to begin shooting for the same when the makers replaced her at the last minute. Bhavika admitted that she was disappointed, but soon, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein came her way.
The tabloid quoted Bhavika as saying, “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin happened when I never expected it. In fact, I had auditioned for another show and was almost going to start shooting for it and at the last minute, the makers decided to go with someone else. I was disappointed, but like they say, everything happens for the best.”
Further, Bhavika admitted that it was a huge challenge for her to step into an existing show and added,  “I was very nervous because in the first few weeks, we did not get the expected viewership. But, slowly, it all worked out.”
The actress was also praise for her co-star Shakti Arora who plays Ishaan in the show and said,  “He is much senior to me and it is a good experience working with him. We have many scenes together and he has been very supportive and we make a good team.”
In the same interview, Bhavika said that she has consciously stayed away from stereotypical roles in her career so far and added that she would never play a ‘makkhi’ or a dragon in a TV show. The actress said that she takes up a show only if she finds the story and the role appealing.
