Aamir Khan got candid about his next project Sitaare Zameen Par in a recent media interaction.

After the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), Aamir Khan had announced that he would taking a break from acting to focus on his family. Well, now it looks like the superstar is ready to bounce back in action. Recently, Aamir graced a session at News18 India’s ‘Amrit Ratna 2023’ event where he spoke about his upcoming projects.

The Bollywood star shed some light on his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par which features him as an actor and a producer.

As per a report in PTI, Aamir shared, “I’m starring in and producing this film Sitaare Zameen Par. We are going ten steps ahead with the theme of Taare Zameen Par. That film made you cry, this one will make you laugh. In Taare, I helped Darsheel’s character, but in this film nine people, with their own set of problems, will help me.”

Taare Zameen Par which released in 2007, revolves around an eight-year-old, dyslexic boy Ishaan (Darsheel Safary) and how his art teacher at his boarding school (played by Aamir Khan) helps him to realise his true potential.

Further, Aamir also talked about his other upcoming ventures as a producer.

“I’m doing three films as a producer. There is Laapata Ladies’ directed by Kiran (Rao). It comes out on January 5. Another one with my son Junaid (Khan), and Lahore 1947 with Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol. I’m looking forward to them,” Aamir shared at the event.

Talking about his son Junaid making his debut as a producer, Khan said, “Like his grandfather (filmmaker Tahir Hussain), Junaid is joining films as a producer with Pritam Pyaare. I have a cameo in the film.”

Besides producing a film, Junaid is also making his acting debut with Maharaja which is reportedly based on true events.
